INC. CONTINUES TALKS WITH AMALGAMATED TRANSIT UNION
(ATU) NATIONAL LOCAL 1700
Contract extended until May 7, 2007
DALLAS (April 30, 2007) – Greyhound Lines, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Laidlaw International, Inc. (NYSE: LI), today announced that it is continuing talks with the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) National Local 1700 on its collective bargaining agreement. The contract has been extended until May 7, 2007 while talks continue, and business will continue to operate as usual.
The ATU represents approximately 3,300 Greyhound employees, including 3,000 drivers and about half of the company’s mechanics.
